Thanks Polygon, and like we all like to say, keep moving forward in the free world. It’s nice to live in someone else’s story when you don’t have much going on now. So I guess I just want to know which games made a big narrative impact on you! Which games have provided characters and storylines that leave you completely invested in another world, even if only for a short time. If anyone knows of such a hidden gem, it is. I worry about how many incredible video game stories get overlooked, finding innovative ways to achieve beautiful moving narratives and still fly under the radar for all but the few dedicated ones.

When I’m too out to engage with some hardcore gamer gameplay, I like to open the door to a small indie game dedicated to using the medium in interesting ways to tell its own unique story (many of which of which I searched through Polygon, I suspect many of you share my taste on this). I’ve loved managing it, but I can’t deny how different it really is, and quite honestly the boring it forces my life to become.īut no matter how many years pass, and how many plans and hobbies I am forced to give up, staying in a video game story for a while is never less than a treat.
